Alanon Step 12 (6-27-2016)

Step 12
Having had a spiritual awakening, as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs

C2C page 357. "It is good to know about the tools of Al-Anon, but it is better to put them to use. Today I will remember that the program is available to me at anytime of the day. The quality of our lives continues to improve as we apply the Al-Anon program not only to crisis situations but to our everyday lives."

My share
Again, the simplicity of the step astounds me . . First it  assures me that I will have had a spiritual awakening as a result of working the steps. What a powerful promised that this and then as a result of this I will be able to know the message of Al-Anon and carry to others
.Practicing these principles in all our affairs are also a great discipline, once I determined what those principles were. Thank you Al-Anon,for instilling principles within my heart that I would live by and not try to force others to live up to12

Step 12 questions

1.  Describe your experiences in carrying the message to others.

Describe an effort that backfired or didn't work.  Describe one that you believed was successful.

2.  How have you begun to take recovery principles to areas of your life other than your primary relationships?  In what areas of your life would you like to experience healing and more growth and change?  You may want to turn these wants into written goals.

3.  How has your relationship with yourself changed since you began recovery?  How do you treat yourself differently now?  How does it feel when you treat yourself well and in a nurturing, loving manner?

4.  Describe your experiences trying to share or explain your recovery to family members.  Get feedback from someone else in recovery, someone you trust, about these experiences.
