How do you know when you're doing God's Will?

Greetings!

I am new to this forum, and have joined because I'd like more perspective. Every time I do a third step, my sponsor gives me this assignment. "Ask as many people as it takes to accumulate 300 years how they know they're doing God's will."

As an alcoholic who had answered this question, it's a nice reminder of my daily recovery practices. As an alcoholic who has asked this question hundreds of times, I am unsure that God's will is simply " that gut feeling." Here is how I would answer that question today:

" The universe is giving me positive feedback and strength in many forms to do whatever is in front of me"

So now I ask you, how long have you been sober? How do you know you're doing God's will?

I am very excited to read your responses.

Thank you!

 good question S. !!!

I saw God's will working in people around me... people in the programme mostly.

Then ah reckoned- if God is working through them, God must be working in me as well...

Ah stopped drinking hard liquour when ah were 17- that was in 1968.

Spent most of my recovery time in Alanon- I had a family history...

I was going along to AA meetings with my sister in law in Florida- while on holiday.

Got sick of sitting there like a stuffed dummy and owned my alcoholic brain- and had a share...

...we are all in the same boat- one way or another...!!! smile welcome!

Hello Sara This is a Step work Board and very few AA members post to it. I do believe if you posted this quesiton to the AA Board you would receive many supportive replies.

I know I am doing HP 's will because the way is smooth, I feel His presence with me and the outcome is balanced.
