Hi, I am just checking in. I'm willing to help with this board just as I helped with the old one. Are we going to start the Steps over again? which is fine with me. I am going to wait to hear from Dot or John before I do anything.
laterzzzz,

I'm very interested in starting the steps and doing them correctly. So any help would be greatly appreciated. When do you think you will start ? I'll just keep coming backtill I find out. Thank you for all the help you've given me so far. A greatful Al-Anon member.

Hello to everyone who has posted on this new board. I have been waiting for the moderators to let us know how they want to proceed from here, but, I see some eagerness to go on at the same time. Shall we wait a couple of more days? And then if there is no authoritative direction,, I will start us off on the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions and some slogans as well.
Meanwhile, there are some books that can be gotten for use,,, and which are the books that we use to put up our excerpts,, which teach the Steps, and which are our own source. I am so glad to see interest in working the Steps as they are meant to be worked. We can put our own interpretations on things,,, but that is our own program then. The program does work if we work it, and we are worth it, so let's work it.... as the original people intended.
The first book is the AA "12 Steps and 12 Traditions", which can be gotten from the headquarters in New York City if one can't locate it locally from an AA group. There is also a web site that has the 12 Steps on it - http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/sobertransitions/
The second one is the ACoA version of explanations of the Steps and is excellent. It is "The 12 Steps for Adult Children" revised - which is put out by RPI Publishing, and can be obtained through a local book store like Barnes & Noble. Here are a couple of links to ACoA sites: http://adultchildren.org/ - http://www.intrepidsoftware.com/rec/core.php
The third one we do is the alanon group's version of the same 12 Steps and that can be obtained through the local or national alanon : http://www.al-anon.org/
I'll be watching this board, and post again in a couple of days. In the meantime.. do your best and God does the rest.

PS. Guess what? I was just exploring this page a bit, and scrolled down, and saw that these books are for sale through this site! How about that? the links I put up are still good, cuz they include more stuff, but might as well buy the books through here, eh? unless you can find them more easily locally.
