Here we go,,, tomorrow is Christmas Eve,,, Christmas week, then New Year's Eve.
How about some tips on what program things we do to make the best of the holidays in recovery?
I try to remember to "take it easy" and to watch for H.A.L.T - being Hungry, Angry, Lonely and/or Tired... and to take care of those needs as soon as I notice them.

Hi Amanda - The holidays can be tough when alcoholism is a factor. I have a few suggestions I start passing on in December meetings.
1. Simplify things.
2. Have alternatives (be flexible)
3. Try not to anticipate trouble.
4. Be good to yourself.
5. Go to Meetings.
And remember - Holidays are merely 24 hour days.
Lots of love and ooodles of hugs to you - Dot
