I am 36 years old, divorced for over 3 years, mother of 3 beautiful young girls and in a serious relationship for well over a year now with an alcoholic who does not live with us but is a big part of our lives.  I've been in denial about his problem and its effect on me for so long and it's time for help.  He will not acknowledge the problem at all, and I have an important decision to make.  Can anyone help me to understand?

Welcome Ape, I'm glad you are here. I guess my first suggestion would be to find an Al-anon meeting. Learn all you can about alcoholism, but most of all take care of your daughters and yourself. Have you tried the Al-anon board?
