'Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could resort us to sanity'

"When I expressed difficulty with the word 'sanity' in Step Two, my sponsor suggested I write a list of all the insane things I had done to try to control the alcoholism with which I grew up. I didn't think the results of this task would be very revealing. After I finished, however, I looked at the list and felt as though I was looking in a mirror for the very first time. I could finally see myself as I really was, and I wasn't happy with what I saw."
this kind of study can be very useful in recovery to understand our own behaviour patterns. Its not supposed to be a guilt trip. But rather a private journey to free ourselves from energy wasting behaviour so that we can enjoy our lives all the more,
