hello,  I just joined this group and am in need of some guidance.  How does this page work?  How do I participate and make the proper changes I need to in my life?  I am an adult child of 2 alcoholics and a drug addict.  I have serious abandonment and anger problems.  I am just learning that it is time to face my problems so I can move on in a healthy manner.  Any and all advise id much appreciated

I have been where you are, congraluations on seeking to find answers. I am fairly new also. I began alanon face to face meeting mid July. I understand AA meetings are very helpful in learning better, healthier ways to cope. Its not an instant fix but a new way of learning, thinking and behaving. This site should be a lot of help to you and home page here, you can go to online meeting and also follow up with face to face meeting. Almost every town or town nearby will have meetings all through the week. Good luck on your journey its a process of acknowledgement and acceptance and some step work and hang in there. I am seeking guidance from God my higer power through the 12 step program. Its alot of trial and error. We are not perfect but we can make progress in the right direction. Folks on here understand and are vey helpful.
