i am an alcoholic.,food addict.,amongst other addictions.I have turned to people places and things for comfort.That sense of dis-ease has always haunted me.Alcohol .,food.,etc.gave me comfort until they became my enemy.Today when i am feeling those feelings where do i turn...My GOD ?..meetings ? connecting to others ?..where do you turn for comfort ?

Hildy...Welcome. I'm so glad you are here. Where do I turn to for comfort? Meetings, God and my sponsor. If you haven't been to a meeting yet, please call your local AA and ask for a 12 step call or a ride to a meeting. Remember that alcohol is a false sense of comfort.
