I know I have a big problem with drinking. I don't crave alcohol, I just want to drink "normally" but after a few I just don't stop until I pass out or theres nothing left. I have decided that I have to get help, but I live in a place where there are no meetings and I am completely without a clue what to do.
Can someone please help??

Hi and welcome...
For most alcoholics, drinking normally was always the goal. We found that we could not, and when we tried to stop on our own, we found that we could not do that either. For most of us, we had to have help. We find that help in the rooms of AA>
Since you don't know of meetings in your area, try calling the hospital or mental health clinic near you and ask if they know of any. You may be surprised. The phone book should have a listing for an AA number in the area also. Call them and ask for a meeting.
There is an AA message board on the MIP forum. I look forward to seeing you there. There are lots of recovering AAs who post there on a regular basis.
You don't have to be alone...

I'm new into these rooms and don't know if you're still here or not. I've joined because I've done a lot of drinking in my life but often I have done it in response to drinking normal, drinking at problems, drinking because i thought it would help me relax about the situation. What I discovered as I went slowly more and more progressive was that whether I was drinking because of the situation or simply because I wanted to, the affect was still the same on me. It is not until I can concentrate on what is prompting me to respond in positive action ways rather than reacting to my surroundings that I can lead a normal life surrounded by positive things and friends. Keep open minded. Don't ignore your emotions, just don't let them make your decisions.

It's good that you are aware of your problem. As a psychologist, I can tell you that awareness and acceptance are already an important stage on the way to treatment. Especially since you are actually doing it. Now you just need time and a good specialist. Here in the blog https://airomedical.com/blog you can read about the unique methods of treating alcoholism, as well as about those clinics in Europe that will gladly accept you. There is nothing difficult in this, even if now it seems to you that it is so. Believe me, any problem is solvable.
