8. Adult Children of Alcoholics should remain forever non-professional, but our service centers may employ special workers.
A concession that people for specific functions may be needed.
As I understand it Adult Children of Alcoholics employ people
to pack and post the BRB and workbook. I am fairly sure they
do employ members, which i think is a good thing.
All this is open and up for scrutiny. As a member I have a right
and a duty to check these things out. And having done so to
affirm the integrity of the ACA movement.
I suppose there might be issues around the MIP Adult Children
Anonymous organisation side. My guess that they are regular
routine issues. I do have a tendency as an ACA to look for
"conspiracys". But because I do recovery work day by day
the need to find faults in other things almost goes away.
I am a junior, learning member here. I am happy to play my part
in group work- and appreciate the work that goes on behind
the scenes.
Thanks James,
DavidG.
