Dear Al-anon angels,
I am a long-time member of this incredible program, but find myself at loose ends tonight. Glad I found y'all. Husband 10 years clean. First couple of years were very tough and I learned a LOT. Seems like a dry drunk relapse is going on and I find myself sucked back into the insanity. I just needed to come clean and say I have not been detaching with love on a consistent basis. Talk about cunning, powerful and baffling! I have many friends in recovery who remind me that alcoholism is a progressive disease, whether the person is drinking or not. Dang. I am back at Step 1 and could sure use some encouragement from anyone out there that has been in this mind-boggling predicament.
Blessings to all.
