In 2002 my NJ RN license was suspended for 2 years because of my addiction. Technically, my suspention period ended as of January 2005.
I petitioned the NJ Board of Nursing for reinstatement of my professional license and submitted all of the required records and documents necessary for reinstatement (MD evaluation, random drug urine screen results, records and a letters from my councellors, letters of reference from current employer, etc).
Starting from January of 2003, I participate in 12 step meetings very extensively attending two meetings every day. My sponsor and I were in contact on daily basis.
In December of 2003 my father was diagnosed with colon cancer, and as his only caregiver, I was attending to his needs every day until he died at the beginning of March of 2006.
Between caring for my father, my family and my job, there was absolutely no time to keep my 12 step participation as regularly as it was at the beginning.
At this time, I am in the desperate need for my RN license to be reinstated so that I would be able to provide even the basic living expenses for my family.
Please, help me !!!

hi, Julius,,, I'm sorry for all you've been through. Speaking for myself, I'm not sure what I can do to help. You might try the NA board here. You can get to that by going to the home page http://www.12stepforums.net
I know meetings are very important,, and in between times you can still work the program.
God bless you,
amanda
