moral inventory

Hello to all,

I hope this finds all is well
your way and hopefully it is
here..

I am in evaluation re step four, or:

Made a searching and fearless moral
inventory of ourselves.

Yikes - can we call out damage control
here please?

My last a, who is a family member, got
in my face because I'm just learning to
walk again. My good fortune is I have
been doing the alanon program for years
and feel quite empowered by the process
of the steps and my readings.

This a in particular has always been in
my business, doing my deeds and is still
trying to do so. Yes, I mention I am
learning to walk again. This is my 3rd

giving it a go at walking again. I hope to get it down this
time - jeez puleeze - hee hee hee!

I have had to let this family member know their behaviour
display toward me was out of control or lines I have as
public behaviour displays that I value or perform in public,
or private toward another person. However, this one event
not only pushed the envelope - it set the envelope on fire.

Using the 3 c-s, I was able to let the words fly past me,
however, I recalled the individual going off on other
family members throughout time. She has had been
court ordered to some child abuse recovery classes
she bounced out of once she got there were no person/s
monitoring her being there and left the 90 meetings in
however many days it is ordered. At this recent point in
time, I'm like having to refuse the individual entrance to
my place. It seemed like the pouting or fit throwing had
yet to abate itself. And I was done with it.

At my request, I ask that the individual attend meetings
on days of their preference, and to even get a copy of
the meeting page that I have for this area. I am not being
mean mean, however, I am saying what I mean as easy
as pie as I see it -  my inventory taking of me.

From our readings odaat in alanon, we read of the couple
who are an a and the alanoner that go to
therapy to tell of their a related woes - and
how as the stories were read over, it was
difficult to tell it was even the same couple
telling the 'same' story. This is what the event
has turned into. However, I do keep a copy of
my emails - yet the a story is me being a baby
fied little brat and saying that they can not
come back to my house.

I'm like well well - how familiar this is with
all my a-s.. I forget to mention we are a coded,
alanonic in my case and some of the family are
strung out on their god's super hero qualities,
its an interesting mix when we get together.

So for my step four, I still have a little work
to do, and at least I know I left the door open
to using my material to assist her, whereas with
my ex a-s, I felt to nail the door shut was the
way to work it.

  In my
"Made a searching and fearless moral
inventory of ourselves." I can see it's getting
better, and it (that type of reality) does come
at me in waves, nevertheless. So my keeping my
side of the street clean is a continual work I
do not know what else to do with, except for to
give it a go. Ooh - that a-s thing is food or to
control it seems - however, this share is about
my working my program - not the a-s.

I look forward to the MIP store in my area to
begin to offer some type of an a alert device...
aww

Steps 4 We made a searching and fearless Moral Inventory of ourselves.

In keeping with the 12-Steps of Recovery please have your Big Book ( A.A.) book and 12 x 12 handy.
A Sponsor and be going to meetings.

We Review our Sex Conduct
We review our Fears
We Review our resentments
People I have harmed.

After we have taken an HONEST appraisal of ourselves and done the STEP WORK with OUR SPONSOR we are ready to take our 5th Step. Going over our Conduct, Fears, Resentments, and people we have harmed. Then after doing this we take time to pray and rest upon our bed for an hour. Or our Sponsors!
Thanking God and then after doing this we are ready to move onto Step 6.

Our past is gone and now we can move forward into a New Freedom. A freedom that we know without a shadow of doubt that God Loves me. I also have found that I Love him too. I have PEACE for the first time in my life and I like it!

Thanks for letting me post!

Step 10
Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

This is an important Step for my Recovery. It is a maintenance Step and I have a cheat sheet that my Sponsor, God Rest her Soul gave to me before she passed away a year ago from Brain Cancer at 49 years old.

Step Ten- Daily Inventory is when we retire at night we constructively reviw our day. Were we resentful, selfish, dishonest or afraid. Taken from 88 of the 12 x 12. It is a list of Liabilities ( Gods Will) and ( My Will ) Assets. By grading my behavior on a daily basis I know where I am and where I am lacking so I can do better tomarrow. Maybe I need another meeting or I need to talk to my Sponsor, or I need to pray more, Praise more, or help someone else, or whatever.

Thanks for letting me post,

Blessed
