Young people and alcohol

Hello out there!

I have a 22 year old Son that has been drinking since he was around 13 years old maybe a little older or younger I am not sure. It is his story not mine. The reason I am bringing him up is because I am watching part of my life go through another Generation. One I prayed and prayed and thought would never ever happen to me.
Because of my Stubborness, and my Denial I continued to bail him out, send him to expensive treatment centers, hospitals, therapists and so on. TO keep him from all the pain of jail that I had to endure at 14 and 15 years old. That was 35 yeasr ago but it is still fresh in my mind.

ian Education and the Church upbringing. Then l started to pay for all his mistakes trying to help him out of the mess that he kept creating for himself. Until finally we almost lost everything because like everyone else in California the housing maket crashed. Plus my husband was fired from his job and he didn't get work that easy afterward it took 4 months.

I have walked through fire Sober. Why can't you? Because each one has to hit there own particular bottom. My life had so many painful, gut wrenching bottoms, you would have thought I would have stopped many times  before I did also. I didn't either!

My Son called tonight. With him going to trial for an alcohol related crime between he and his recently broken up ex-girl-friend.  She was drunk drivin and hit a policeman that was a pedestrian. She has been arrested needless to say. Three months ago one of his high school friends was shot in the head in a drive by. He lived. SOme how the boy that shot him came up murdered several weeks later. Accidental!
Another  friend shot himself in the head killing himself. He was addicted to pot.

When I was growing up it was in the late sixties. So I saw and did drugs you can't imagine

uppers, downers, hash, pot, alcohol, everything. Today, we have a National problem that is still Killing our children and our youth and even the elderly. We have shut our eyes, ears, and mouths to what needs to be done just like we did in the sixties.

This country needs GOD! They need him more now than they ever have and they need to turn away from all the evil in there lives. We should Love each other, pray for each other, and reach out to each other. If we have a child on drugs we shouldn't be ashamed we should have every resource available today to help our children. After 40 years we should have alot more REhabs than Prisons.

Statistics say that 1 in 32 people are either in Jail, Prison, on Parole, probation today. That we are # 1 for having the most people in Prisons and jails in the World. Even over CHINA. What does that tell us about where we are all going as a Nation. My husband and I are in PRison Ministry taking in the Gospel of Our Lord and Savior. WHy? Because everyone has been FOrgiven and had there Sins paid for. Al they need to do is accept Christs free GIft of Salvation.

I have written alot tonight. Probably because I am always shaken to my knees in Prayer and Praise to GOd for his Son.

Happy Birthday Jesus. Merry Christmas.
