I'm in trouble and need a friend

Hello,
I've posted before and maybe I'm just a little confused. I wish that there was a regular chat room to go to. I've been trying to stop and I keep slipping up. I truly want to stop. It's affecting my life. I can't hold down a job and I feel suicidal. I've alienated all my friends so now I really don't have anyone and that makes me feel lonely so I drink. I feel like a failure without willpower.

Check into the AA link on this site.  It is on the Main Page.  You will find some one who can relate their experiences, strengths and hopes regarding their own battle with drinking.  I am also a recovering alcoholic and relate to what you have posted here and as a loner I didn't have much need for people I was fine not having them around me.  I was suicidal also and made an attempt with alcohol myself that didn't arrive at my death but later arrived at the front door of the Al-Anon Family Groups where I have been a member for 30+ years.  I drank and had relationships with drinkers which affected my drinking and the rest of my life.  I have come to arrest the disease of alcoholism in my life with the help of the Al-Anon Family Groups and AA membership.

You are not alone.  There are millions in the program all over the world that can help you with what you see as a problem.  Check out the program for 90 days in  your area before making any decisions for yourself.

In love and Service.  (((((hugs))))) smile
