Traditions & Steps?

Some people say that the steps and the traditions go together by number. Like step 1 is connected with tradition 1, step 2 with traditions 2 and so on. I'm trying to figure out how each is connected, and I was wondering who shared this view?

They're obviously very important to the program, each in their own way. The steps I believe are great for self-knowledge, while the traditions teach us how to work well in groups together. But to have each tradition connected with each step like that confuses me.. sometimes I see the connection, other times I don't.

What do you think?

I wouldn't worry about it unless you're on step 13!
