Step Two Questions

Step Two - Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

1 - What is my concept of a Higher Power at this time?

2. What does Came To Believe mean to me?

3. What do I hope to gain from accepting the concept of a Power greater than myself?

4. What does sanity mean to me?

1) My concept of a Higher Power is God as I know and understand him. I believe him to be loving and merciful. I believe that he continues to test us and put us through trials until we learn the lessons he means for us to learn. I believe that he has a wonderful plan for each of us if we open our hearts to his will.

2.) “Came to believe” means to me that I begin to understand that there is a Higher Power and he does not need my help. I believe there is a difference between saying you believe in a Higher power, but working your Will and believe in a Higher power and opening yourself to his Will. You have to trust in him and believe he knows what is best for us.

3.) I hope to gain peace and understanding. I hope that I can truly Let Go and Let God. I hope to trust him as I have never trusted anyone in my life. I hope to gain eternal life. I hope to regain some sanity.

4.) Sanity means not fighting everyday. Fighting means that I don’t have to worry what kind of mood he will come home in. I don’t have to worry about how the bills are going to get paid. Sanity means not trying to raise a grown man. Sanity means not making myself sick physically and emotionally trying to change something I have no control over. Sanity means not thinking I would be better off dead, not doubting every decision I make. Sanity means peace.
