Karen here.  I know this is a website paced with wisdom.  I just don't know how to get to where I need to be.  Are the post done generically for all addictions.  Do you use different books at different times. etc.  I am recovering in many different rooms.  Could someone please explain the process of this for me .  Thank you and God Bless to all,   Karen, your sister trudger.

Welcome!! It's good to have you here.


I post the steps for AA straight out of the big book and the 12x12. That's the only way I know how to work the steps...with a sponsor's help, of course. Dot posts for Alanon, using the "Path to Recovery" book. I believe you could use the step work from the bigbook and the alanon book for any type of addiction, replacing alcohol for whatever addiction you are trying to recover from.


I am an advocate of meetings, where we can find others that have gone through what we are going through and can give us the support we so desparately need.


There are posts below for steps 1 & 2 and step three was posted on Sunday. We post a new step every two weeks. That gives everyone time to post whatever share they want on each step.
