Adult Children of Alcoholics: Step 7

7. Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings.

This is the step. This is where you ask for help.

Asking for help is hard for me.  From life in my FOO, I learned that false indepdence where I did everything myself.  And of course I thought I was in control of things I had no control over.  Again, I learned to be this way because of my past, so I need to forgive myself for that.  At any rate, it's a blow to the ego to admit I need help.  But I did (and do).  I'm not all that and a bag of chips and I need help.
