Step 11 for ACoA

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understand God, praying only for knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry it out.

As always, replace God with Higher Power if the word bothers you.

The purpose of this step is to attune you to your greater world.  As a part of our dysfunctional upbringing, we often develop a disconnect with our surroundings, having been told things were contrary to how you were experiencing them or perceiving them.  This step is our realigning with larger forces and purposes.  In a way, this is you regaining your spiritual sanity.

yesterday I was at work... walking around the mountain side... and the grass was so green and my surroundings seemed almost overpowering.

A year ago greys really stood out like this...

...there was no booming voice... but I noticed a lot of details around me...

...thanks James...smile

I like your explanation of this step. The idea of my own spiritual sanity is very attractive to me.
