This is the start of healing I hope...

Hello all, I have never posted on line. I attended Alanon meetings for several years in the past when my younger son, then a teen was addicted to Xanax, alcohol, cocaine, and marijuana.I found the meetings tremendously helpful and a life saver.

For the past nearly 3 years I have been involved with a 48 year old man that I love that is an active alcoholic. The chaos, unpredictability, insanity of alcohol has made my life a living hell. Some days I feel that I am losing my mind! Over time this disease has permeated and poisoned every aspect of my life and being. I am reaching out for help and support.,.Any coping strategies would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to disengage, not react, move on with my life, do my own thing, but like a sneaky beast the alcohol always is there to attack and destroy any happiness, calm, peace or joy.

Thank you so much for letting me share. Terri216
