New to this, is this for families of drug addicts too?

My husband is a drug addict and is in treatment for the first time. His councler suggested that I join al-anon so here I am. I'm also going to my first meeting tonight. The posts I have read seem to be all about alcohol, is this where I need to be?

Hello Tracy welcome to Miracles inProgress. You have posted to a message board, which is specifically designed to work on the steps of each program. This board is not visited often and is not very active, I would suggests that you post to our main Al-Anon message board way where many people post and you'll receive the support you need. Al-Anon was established to help families of alcoholics. Many people attendwho have drugs drugs as an issue in the family also attend and receive innumerable benefits. When you go to that board you will have to reregister in order to post. Reregistering is very simple. Just do so as you did initially. Please keep coming back there is hope and help
