Step 3 - Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of god as we understood him.

My first time through the steps, I fought this, just as I fought all the steps LOL. Yes, today I can laugh about that. I was used to doing everything my way. I just could not imagine giving up my will. In time, I surrendered and tiptoed into this step and began turning things over one item at a time.
I still come to steps, 1, 2, and 3 as a regular part of my day to day life. I recently chaired a meeting on step 3 and one person shared something I had not really considered. He said "all I'm being asked to do is make a decision, this is not an action step but a decision step" Wow did that change my outlook on this step. I've been through the steps in a few different books and with a few different people and yet I'd never truly considered that word "decision" I loved this perspective on this step.
Anyone else have a step 3 story or share?
