A Debate Over Coffee Is File Corruption Ever Ethical?

Hi everyone, I had a spirited debate with a neighbor who works in IT while we were grabbing coffee this morning. He was complaining about students using https://filescorrupter.com/ to submit "broken" assignments right before a deadline

 

I argued that for a busy entrepreneur managing a high-vibe brand, sometimes you just need a professional "out" when a server crashes or a file gets lost. What is your take on this? Is using a curated tool to corrupt a file a clever life hack or just a professional risk?

I am curious to hear your inquisitive thoughts on this digital dilemma!
