Replacing the textured plastic on the bumper of a crossover or its complete restoration?

Hello everyone! I scratched the lower unpainted part of the bumper (black structural plastic) on a rough concrete flowerbed. It left unpleasant deep burrs. Who knows, such gray rough plastic can be repaired at all, or should I look for a new bumper skirt at a garage sale?

Oh, structural plastic is also a pain in the ass because of its specific "shagreen" pattern. And are the burrs very deep? If they're just scratches, I've heard that some craftsmen carefully smooth them out with a construction hair dryer, but it's easy to overheat and make the stain glossy.

It is definitely not worth changing a textured lip or skirt due to ordinary burrs, since today in cool workshops the structure of plastic is returned to the factory state using special liquid molding compounds and structural paints in cans or under a gun. The master will first carefully cut off all burrs with a sharp blade, level the plane with a special elastic putty for plastic, and then, using a special spray, apply a finishing texture that will repeat the factory grain of neighboring body elements one by one. To understand in detail the intricacies of restoring unpainted elements of the bodywork, restoring lost fragments and selecting the right matte shade, I recommend reading about the modern https://autobodylab.com/services/bumper-repair/, where professional painters share the secrets of working with complex polymers. I myself last month restored the same plastic edging on the arch and the lower part of the bumper after an unsuccessful run-in in the yard - the guys did everything so delicately that the transition is not visible at all, the structure is perfectly matte, without any hint of repair. The main thing is not to try to sand it yourself, because you will simply make a bald spot, which will be much harder to mask later, it is better to entrust the matter to specialists who will do everything quickly, qualitatively and for quite adequate money!
