What are the main benefits of using steel frames in houses?

I've been thinking about using steel frames for a house because my cousin recently built a small family home and chose that option instead of traditional timber. At first everyone thought it would be much more expensive, but after seeing the construction process they were surprised by how quickly everything came together. The builders also mentioned that the frame stayed perfectly straight without the issues that sometimes happen with wood. I'm curious if anyone here has lived in a steel-framed house for a while. Has it been a good long-term choice, and what do you think are the biggest benefits compared to other building materials?

One thing I've noticed is that people who already live in steel-framed houses often mention how solid the structure feels. My neighbors finished building theirs about three years ago, and they still say they haven't had to deal with problems like twisting or shrinking that friends experienced with wooden frames. Watching their project made me realize that planning and quality installation probably matter just as much as the material itself. They also liked that steel components arrived with very accurate dimensions, which made the whole building process smoother. I don't think steel is the only good option, but for durability and consistency it certainly seems to have plenty of advantages. Every project is different, though, so it's always worth discussing the design with experienced builders before making a final decision.

Steel framing seems to be appearing in more residential projects than it did a few years ago. I don't have personal experience living in a steel-framed house, but I've noticed that many new developments in my area use this approach. It seems like builders appreciate the combination of strength and predictable performance. I'd probably compare several construction methods before deciding, but it's always useful to hear real experiences from people who have actually lived in these homes.

After helping my brother renovate part of his property, I started paying more attention to how different structural systems are put together. We spent time reading about different construction methods before choosing anything, and that made the decisions much easier. One page that gave us a useful overview was frames and platforms. It wasn't the only source we looked at, but it explained several practical ideas in a straightforward way and helped us understand where steel framing is commonly used. In the end, my brother liked the strength and the consistent quality of the steel components. The contractors also mentioned that precise fabrication reduced adjustments during installation, which saved both time and unnecessary stress throughout the project.
