In general, modern web technologies have made a huge step forward compared to what was the case a few years ago. Now most sites are created taking into account the fact that users access them mainly from compact touch screens, and not from large PC monitors. For me personally, the most important factor is always the absence of intrusive advertising and pop-ups that only interfere with viewing. When a site is concise, has a pleasant color scheme and clear sections, then being on it is much more pleasant, regardless of which direction of digital entertainment you prefer in your free time.
