How do you choose a reliable collision repair shop in the US?

I had a minor accident last month, and now Im trying to find a collision repair shop I can trust. There are so many options that Im not sure what really matters. Ive been asking friends for suggestions and checking a few reviews. When you choose a repair shop in the US, what do you usually look at first? Id rather take a little extra time now than pick a place randomly.

Id probably compare a few shops instead of going with the first one I find. I had a similar situation after someone bumped my car in a parking lot. I checked customer reviews, looked at photos of previous repairs, and called two shops to ask about the process. The one that explained everything clearly made me feel more comfortable. I also asked how they handle insurance claims, which saved me some time later.

Another thing Id check is whether the shop has experience with the kind of damage your car has. I was looking into collision repair recently and I found this page https://autobodylab.com/locations/north-miami-collision-center/ useful for understanding what a local repair center offers. It can help you get an idea of the services available in Florida. Id also ask about the estimated timeline, replacement parts, paint matching, and whether the work comes with any warranty. Prices can vary, but the cheapest option isnt always the only thing worth considering. I usually ask what the estimate includes and whether there could be additional costs once the car is inspected.
