How can players check whether an online casino is licensed and trustworthy?

I came across a gaming website recently that looked professional, but I couldn't immediately find any information about its licence. How do you usually check whether an online casino is properly licensed and trustworthy? Are there particular details you look for, or official websites you use to verify the information?

That's a sensible thing to check before signing up. I usually start by looking at the bottom of the website for licensing details, then check whether the regulator named there is genuine. I once noticed that a site's terms were much easier to find than its ownership information, which made me look more carefully. I'd also check the company name, contact details, privacy policy, and withdrawal rules. A professional design alone doesn't prove that a platform is reliable, so it's worth verifying the details independently.

I agree that checking the regulator directly is one of the most useful steps. A legitimate licence should be verifiable through the regulator's official website, where available, and the company name should match the information listed there. I'd also look for clear terms, responsible-gambling tools, and a way to contact support. I check Bet with StarBet for upcoming sports events and betting on sports. I also check the relevant licensing information and local rules independently before creating an account. It's better to take a few extra minutes to verify the facts than to rely on reviews or a site's appearance alone.
