Talking the Talk (EA affirmations/communication tips)

ML here......powerless over my emotions. One of my stumbling blocks is/was my negative self-talk which can directly affect my emotions - or vice versa, any way you slice it it's a mud pie. In the EA published book "It Works if You Work It" is a wonderful section I use called Talking The Talk that I enjoy reading and I use some of the quoted self-talk affirmations. HP has also helped me to find meaning in many of these affirmations...whereas before I scoffed at most of them.......

From "It Works if You Work It", page 94 ......

"EA members sent in many positive affirmations and thoughts, which may help us all the path of positive self-talk..........

Am I a human being or a human doing?

Am I enjoying or enduring?

God don't make junk.

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

I accept all the different parts of me.

I am a unique, special person. There's no one else quite like me.

I love myself just the way I am."

End of quote

There are so many more..I only quoted a few. I think many are shared by 12 Step groups universally, but I found the power of positive self-talk is huge for me, especially when I 'fight it'.....that's when I chat with HP about it.....hum....what do you think HP, something a bit 'hurt' in this area?.......Can you take this and smooth it out for me or with me?.......

Yours in Program........
