hi, tasmin....   I am doing all the Steps...  to see Steps 1,2 and 3 just look at the bottom of this page, where you see the little box with the number of pages and go back to page one...  we are now on Step 8, and have kept them in order so it is easier for people to find the Step they want to look at..  Welcome to the board!  We will be going back to Step 1 again after this cycle.

love in recovery,

amanda

Hi, Todd...  that is wonderful of you... and welcome to the team..  there are a couple of people that I give Step help to in private messages...  kind of like being a sponsor. A sponsor gives individual help aside from the group.

love in recovery,

amanda

hi guys,

thanks for replying.

i've been thinking about the steps and i have already accepted my powerlessness over ppl, places and things.

and i believe i have a better understanding of my higher power and without this beilef i wouldnt be able to move forward in my life like i have done.

step 3 is where i kinda get stuck.

i hand it over to god with one hand and take it back with the other.

this is what i need to learn, how to not take it back once i've handed it over.

is there a way of handing it over and leaving it in gods hands, without me taking it back again?

thanks again for the offer of help todd.

and for the directions amanda

love and hugs,

tasmin

For me step 3 was kinda hard at first.I would do much what you do.Give it to him and then take it back, when thing's didn't seem to be going the wayI thought they should.
Now I realize that the god I UNDERSTAND is far more capible of looking after me than I 'am.He know's my need's and doesn't give me more than I can handle.Just lastnight he gave me the chance to put on a meeting in a local hospital{1 hour} drive away.I didn't really want to go{it was snowing }and the roads wasn't that great. But I went and had the chance to meet 8 new faces that I hope got something from me,I know I got something from them.On my way home I realized that's just what I needed for yesterday, see my understanding god knew before I did what I needed.Keep your chin-up.
