desperate and new to al anon

I am new to al anon ...  I am online because I do not have enough support to go to f2f meetings.  I am looking for a sponsor and not sure how to do that either.

I am a mom of 4 children.  I was raised by both parents being addicts/alcoholics and my husband is also an Alcoholic.

I am completely mortified of having another A in my life and wish I would have seen it coming before children.  He being a seasoned A and a social worker is really hard.  And myself being in the social service field working with MI population even worse....

I am in great need of some support and looking for guidance.

Thanks

tmarie,
I'm new also but wanted you to know that you are not alone and have come to a good place to get support.  I'm also unable to go to mtgs, but am starting to use this site to get what I cannot get in person.  Hope you stick around smile.gif

Hello both of you and welcome to MIP!  You have found the right place.

Here is the link to the main MIP Al-Anon page:
http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=42727&p=1

The step work board focuses on the 12 steps no matter what program of recovery you are in, so as you go through them please come back and share you ES&H and read that of others here.

We are so glad you are here.
