new to alanon

I am not really sure how to go abouts using this site, I came upon this site in desperate need of help. I have been told by others to attend Alanon the reason is because I grew up in an alcoholic home and now am living with a man who is an alcoholic. I feel so out of control, & very confused about everything. Can someone please let me know where to begi. I have attended  a few alanon meetings in the past and found that they have helped me but never really got right into it. I kinda thought that I didnt need it, but now I relized how much I need those meetings, I can't do this alone anymore and I need help so that I can get better. Thank you!!

Hi CandaceWelcome to MIP

You have posted on the Step Work Board of this site and this is a  portion of the message Board tht  is not frequented as often as the main Alanon Board.

I suggest tha t you go to the main Board and read some of the posting and then visit the chat room where theee are 2 on line meetings held each day.

So glad you have positive experiences with face to face meetings .  I too attended for a few years and then thought I was cured and left.  I had to return and continue my recovery in these rooms as I need the fellowship of others.

By going to the following link you can find meetings in your community:

http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/meetings/meeting.html

PLease join us on the other Board and keep coming back
