Really needing help navigating in order to start step one.

I was so happy to find this site, but I am now feeling lost as to what I am supposed to do, there doesn't seem to be any actual directions of how to start this process.  I have read a book on ACOA and I related to so much in it.  I want to start the steps, but am I ready? Do I need to do more reading first? Or go to meeetings?  Do I need to be put into a 'group' that all starts together or do I just start writing here?  I am confused, which is causing me anxiety and frustration.  Can someone please direct me, I really don't want to drop out just because i can't figure out where to start.  Thank you in anticipation.

This is a Step Work Board and is usually visited by those who have a sponsor, are attending meetings and who want to share their thougths on the Steps.

We do have an ACOA Message Board where you can get your questions answered and where you can connect  freely with  other ACOAs who are walking this path
