For about the last 3 yrs I now realize I have joined her insanity by trying to track her people and places and behaviors.  I accept I can't stop or control her.  I also don't think I like her very much and feel very cold.  I am blaming her for ruining our marriage, but I think I'm supposed to blame the disease.  If you had cancer, that is something out of your control.  If you have addiction, there is help that works.  She doesn't want it.  I will continue with you guys for myself, Lyne

Hi Lynne

I hear where you are  and so understand .   I am glad that you are accepting that you are powerless over your spouse and have decided to stop hurting ourself by "tracking her".    Remember there are no "shoulds" in alanon  but it is best to keep the focus on yourself and know that alcoholism is a disease that destroys many lives and relationships.  Please be gentle with yourself  

Keep taking care of yourself and sharing here  You are not alone
