ACoA Step 3


3: Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand God.


Assuming you've made any necessary adjustments to that word God (meaning to read that as Higher Power), the focus here is decision making.

This for me was the hard part, committing to accepting help, not just from a higher power source, but from any source.  We're really big on thnking we can do stuff alone...until we realize we can't.  We need help (Step 1).  Help is there (Step 2).  It's time to accept it.
