Adult Children of Alcoholics Step 3

3: Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand God.

This is where you become an action hero.  This is where you take action.   You're making a choice here.  You know you need to make a change.  You know you need help making it.  Here is where you ask for help.

If God is an issue, use whatever definition of Higher Power works for you.  But know that there is help out there, including our ACoA forum. Please accept it.

For me, I know that I'm nothing without Jesus. My life has become more peaceful and blessed with Him in it. It's not easy to 'give' over my issues or things that are bothering me, but, I know that I must. Thank you...

For this cycle, I'm bumping previous versions of the steps. Please read the first step, reply if you'd like, and join us at the forum in my signature.

I have chose my higher power as I see, and just taking that step has already helped so much. I never thought before that I could pray, because I didn't know who I was praying to. Now I see, even without knowing, I can still pray, still let go, and ask Something to help me.
Now, actually turning all of my worries over, well, that's a huge step, I may be on this one for a little bit, I read somewhere of a "God box", I will be making my Something box and putting my worries and fears inside of it, give them to Something instead of letting them build in me.

Thank you for helping me understand this.
