Hello,

 

This is my first serious attempt at making a first step to stop my addiction to alcohol. I have a precious boy and a great family.  I realize he is getting older and it is time for me to stop drinking.  I am afraid of coming to terms with all the poor decisions I made as a result of my addiction.  I hope that through this forum, I can hold my self accountable and find the peace and sobriety I desperately need.

Dear Lupita , welcome to MIP. I am glad that you reached out and shared. I would like to assure you that you're not alone that there is help and hope available. You have posted to a step work board that is not visited very often.

Many members post there on a daily basis and support each other as we recover from this dreadful disease. Accepting that alcoholism is a disease, is extremely important to your recovery.
