Which entry door design suits modern Markham homes best?

Modern homes in Markham seem to suit entry doors with clean geometry and fairly restrained finishes. I like wide panels, narrow vertical glass, and simple black hardware more than heavily decorative designs. Our exterior has a mixture of brick and smooth siding, so I'm trying to find a door that connects those materials without drawing too much attention. Has anyone recently chosen a door for a newer Markham home? I'm curious which designs looked best once they were actually installed.

I think modern Markham homes look best with doors that repeat shapes already used elsewhere on the exterior. Our windows have simple rectangular frames, so we chose a door with a tall rectangular glass panel instead of decorative curves. The effect is subtle, but the entrance looks much more connected to the rest of the house. We also kept the hardware minimal. I'd definitely compare the door against the brick, siding, and garage colour together rather than choosing it as an isolated feature.

We wanted our entrance to look more modern without making the front of the house feel cold. The brick already gave the exterior plenty of texture, so we avoided complicated panels and chose a cleaner door with a narrow frosted-glass insert. We also preferred to complete the replacement before colder weather arrived, since the old frame was beginning to show its age. Great entry doors Markham for the pre-winter season. That timing gave us a chance to improve the design and deal with the older entrance before winter at the same time. A dark graphite finish ended up working beautifully with the brick, while the frosted glass added enough daylight to keep the hallway from feeling too closed in.
