Step Eight Questions

Step Eight - Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

1. How have I used retionalization or justification to block me from becoming willing?

2. Have I considered praying for the willingness to become willing?

3. How patient am I in allowing myself to grow into the willingness to make difficult amends?

4. Which people on my list am I willing to contact first? Why?

hi Dot thanks for that and for your reply on the last post . I like to think that I'm someone that makes amends as I go along where appropriate. But I always wonder if I might have missed a bit ! Hopefully as the programme promises if we stick with it these things will be revealed to us in time or reflected back to us somehow . I feel that I'm less likely these days to make inappropriate ones having done alot of that in the early days to the dismay of my sponsor ! At those times it amounted to an enabling of the other person's addiction and a gratification of my own need to be rid of guilt so then I learned that some amends are done by changing without contacting the person . While in other situations it's a good sign when I find myself showing that I'm sorry for something ,

great board ! llol Vickyr x
